MOBILE COUNTY CONSTABLES CREATE NEW LEGISLATION REQUIRING TRAINING AND THE CREATION OF AN ADVISORY BOARD AND ELECTION OF A CHIEF CONSTABLE.

With Local Legislative Support Constables in Mobile County set higher standards and requirements to hold the office of constable along with 40 hours of training each year. This Honorable Office can now join with others in the law enforcement community and say that we will give the public the very best. All constables in Mobile County will now answer to an advisory board established under state law. We have recognized that in order to bring the professionalism to this office it needed better accountability and much more mandated training such as peace officers standards with an additional 40 hours yearly. It's shape up and look sharp........in our county. Now constables can serve as first responders and help reassure the Gulf Coast Community and Port City of Mobile.

Mobile County Constables provided 10 traffic units for traffic control and security for the fireworks show at no expense to the City of Mobile. On file at the Mobile County Constable Office a letter from the Mobile Police Department acknowledging a job well done and appreciation from The City of Mobile.

USS Battleship Alabama Park

Constables work with Al State Troopers and Mobile Police to handle traffic for the fireworks show.  An estimated crowd of 52,000 attended the park.  Constables saved the City of Mobile 1200 overthime hours with this event.

I can tell you that having traveled to 32 states visiting with other constables it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I enjoy meeting our brother's and seeing how so many have departments bigger than the local sheriff. This is the ideal place to design your own custom page, filled with whatever you can imagine from products, pictures, fan clubs, links or just more information.
